L2 v Chipping Camden

Chipping Camden scored 3 times in the first 20 minutes against Stroud Ladies 2. Stroud stepped up, leaving no Camden player unmarked and won its own short corner, Sarah Mace strike blocked by the keeper. Chipping Camden responded scoring a fourth.

In the second half, Stroud moved up and down the pitch as a single unit and put more attacking pressure on Chipping Camden - Forward and midfield: Freya Wallace, Sarah Mace, Ellie Freer, Molly Combe, Maria Smart and Victoria Sharpe getting opportunities in the D. GK Jennie Davies made some excellent saves, but despite a more organised defence- Lizzie Woods, Sophie Payne, Elaine Noone and Mopsey Voss - Camden found the net twice more.

Despite the score, Stroud 2 learnt a lot about team tactics. This game clearly demonstrated the importance of tactics in the new league and how all eleven players are required in both densive and attacking play. The structure in the second half now gives a basis for all games going forwards. Well done to all!
