L3 - GREAT TEAM PERFORMANCE AGAINST STRONG THORNBURY SIDE

L3’s second friendly of the season with lots of new faces from a very successful B2H campaign and Vixens ready to take on the ladies hockey league!
Stroud played well in the first half against a Thornbury team of 11 outfield players. In the Second half Stroud settled and supported each other up and down the pitch. GK Ella Bullock was kept busy with many saves. Stroud were unable to score but put 110% into the game. Defenders Jules LeBihan, Victoria Sharpe, Elaine Noone and Grace Bedwell did very well to defend and run the ball into midfield and out of danger. Midfielders Mhari Spring, Katherine Marchant and Esme Clarke played well to support both defence and attack in what was a very fast game. Forwards Sarah Scott, Maria Smart, and Freya Wallace kept the Thornbury defence under pressure. Freya and Esme worked tremendously well passing and working up and down the pitch as a unit.
Player of the Match: Grace Bedwell
