The result does not reflect the commitment, determination and resolve of the Stroud team who played well and maintained their composure against a very much strengthened Badgers side.  There was some fabulous hockey from Stroud:  with a move that was a direct replica of Tuesday's training session Freya Robb, Hannah Scott and Victoria Sharpe moved around the 'D', pulled a Badgers defender and provided the perfect opening for Iona Strang to crack the ball home and open the scoring for Stroud.  Badgers immediately responded and the Stroud defence was under pressure for much of the game.  Some great saves by keeper Aleasha Holder ensured that the Stroud team left the pitch with their heads held high.
