Stroud Ladies Hockey Club

Stroud played some excellent attacking, accurate and possession hockey this week to take 3 essential points from Cheltenham Civil Service.  The attacks were well-worked down both flanks and the team was pleased to welcome Mopsey Voss back after ‘maternity leave’.  Golkeeper, Jordan Turnbull, was called upon to make important saves on 3 occasions in the first half, leading the defence to tighten its position during the second half and making it much harder for Civil Service to break through.  Stroud's goal came from a nicely worked attack from Jade Rigglesford and Carrie Sanders. Sanders deftly put the ball past the Civil Service keeper.  Candice Johnson played well at right half, supporting both the attack and the defence as required.
