NO BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED ‘WATER’

Bourton on the water was in trouble from the whistle as Stroud started the match in style with a goal from Carrie Sanders whose shot was a ‘text book’, perfect deflection in to the goal.  In a fast and furious paced game, Stroud’s Nic Kelly-Davies found space to squeeze Stroud’s second goal past the Bourton keeper to allow the team to go into the second half with a two goal advantage.  There was some excellent passing and movement of the ball between mid-fielders Kathy Williams, Katy Stotesbury, Victoria Sharpe and Sandra Glass from whom a strong ball into the opponents D allowed Carrie Sanders to score her second goal of the match.

Bourton was relentless in its attempt to get a goal keeper Tati Howell was called upon to make some crucial saves, whilst Andrea Preston was called into action to stop a ball on the goal line.  Another fine performance from the team which has now moved into 3rd place in the league table.  League games recommence in the New Year.  Player of the match – Sandra Glass.
