Tight Match for L2

Bristol scored during the first half and an initially ragged Stroud pulled itself together and although there was little calling for the ball, the passing became shorter, harder and more accurate. The Stroud goal came from some good play from Karen Whitehead & Sandra Glass, allowing Kathy Williams to score from the middle of the D.  Tati Howell made some acrobatic and vital saves in goal and all three backs were relentless in their determination to stop Bristol scoring once more.  The Bristol goal came in the second half and Stroud’s ‘on the whistle’ short corner was saved by the keeper and the rebound shot saved by the Bristol defender to prevent Stroud from scoring the equaliser in a well-matched game.  Player of the day, sweeper Letty Adams.
