Junior Hockey - General Info

Stroud Hockey Club is enthusiastics about its Junior section as it represents the future for the club !
The popular Junior section is managed by the Club's qualified coaches under the guidance of Head Coach, Robert Fynn - 07900 693422\email robertjfynn(at)hotmail.com.
No previous experience is required and, where necessary, sticks can be provided. All juniors should come to training with shin pads and a gum shield.

During the season the Junior teams play in ‘Under 11’ and ‘Under 16’ tournaments against local clubs. There are regular weekend games for the Under 16s: Badgers matches for the boys and Vixens matches for the girls.
A Badgers / Vixens hockey squad compromises 3 senior players and up to 13 junior players. These matches provide junior players with a taste of competitive hockey and a safe environment in which to test their skills.

Coaching\Training

Junior training takes place on Tuesdays 6pm-7.15pm, at the wonderful new Leisure Centre astroturf pitch behind Stratford Park Leisure Centre.
Junior training fees are £70 per season (flat rate). This can be split into 2 payments of £35 payable in September and January.
Head Coach, Robert Fynn, is an experienced player, having led Stroud Men’s 1st XI to promotion in consecutive seasons and he is a qualified level 2 coach.
Rob also coaches junior JAC and JDC squads.
