Stroud 2nd team Ladies working well

Stroud went into an early lead with a fabulous goal by Jade Rigglesford from a seemingly impossible spot on the base line.  Cirencester scored shortly afterwards from a short corner and the game was up for grabs.  The Stroud forwards were on target and had a dozen shots stopped by the on-form Cirencester keeper:  Stroud had much of the possession and were awarded 3 short corners.  The team played well and were unlucky to concede another goal from a short corner in the final 10 minutes of the match.  Some great play by Carrie Sanders, Victoria Sharpe and Rosy Jones in mid-field kept Stroud in the attacking position and the team's continued commitment to scoring was comendable.  A frustrating result for the team as its efforts deserved a better result.
