Pipped at the Post by Puffins

Stroud Ladies’ 2nd XI, sponsored by Ecotricity, used this away game against Puffins to practice its short, sharp, accurate passing and to focus on square and 'back' balls.  Stroud found the undersized pitch was difficult to adjust to and their normal game was curtailed without the width or length to allow its normally fast, flowing game to be played.  The goals, however, were classic Stroud!  A fine run from Hannah Scott (sporting a new go-faster hair style) from the half-way line rewarded her with Stroud's first goal as she powered it into the net.  Stroud's second goal from a short corner was struck with just as much determination by Kathy Williams.  With next weekend's League match against EG it allowed the team to work on play in close groups and tight situations.
